Vizit is looking for a talented Senior AI Scientist with Specialization in Video

This role will be a member of our core team building and expanding upon Vizit’s first-of-its-kind visual intelligence platform and image analysis services already in use by some of the biggest brands in the world. This position represents an opportunity to influence the evolution of our computer vision and deep learning tools in a material way.

You’ll work alongside a diverse group of scientists in the R&D team with expertise in computer vision, deep learning, math, and data science. You will also work closely with engineering, design, and executive leadership to accelerate the growth of our business as we’re hitting an exciting inflection point in our company's journey.

Responsibilities

- Conduct research and develop state-of-the-art AI models for video understanding problems.

- Work with large datasets of video content, create data collection pipelines, and preprocess data to train and evaluate AI models effectively.

- Train deep learning models for video-related tasks, validate and optimize model performance, and ensure scalability for real-world applications

- Collaborate with other members of the R&D team in research and development of solutions

- Collaborate with other teams to understand and identify business problems and find scientific solutions for them

- Contribute to new product development

- Work closely with the engineering team to achieve computational requirements and deploy the models to production

- Engage in knowledge sharing and documentation across the R&D team and the company

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience working in the areas of Computer Vision and Deep Learning

- 3+ years of experience in Video Processing

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. This person will work in a cross-disciplinary team to build world-class image and video analysis services

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to design and implement novel video analysis and validation approaches.

- Experience with Language Models, Transformers, or Generative AI is a plus.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

- A proven track record of solving hard problems in CV and Deep Learning

- Experience working with Python

- Experience working with deep learning and CV libraries.

- PhD or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline

- Organized, self-sufficient, and self-motivated
