The Panasonic LUMIX digital camera hero image earned a high Vizit score of 61.0 by following several category best practices. These include angling the camera, using a plain white background, and featuring the product with the zoom lens out. 

However, some small tweaks could significantly improve the image’s effectiveness with the Online Consumer Electronics audience. The top performers in the hero image benchmark featured multiple views of the camera and incorporated accessories in the lower section of the image. Using these trends, Panasonic could significantly improve its Vizit score. 

Carousel Images

Panasonic’s carousel images received mostly impressive scores, effectively showcasing the digital camera’s various features and accessories. Its highest scoring images followed benchmark trends, such as using visual examples of the camera features, minimal text banners for image context, and close-up shots of the digital camera.

Notably, Panasonic distinguishes itself from the competition by boasting a remarkable 14 assets in its carousel, with one not fitting Vizit’s image scoring criteria. In this category, the standard number of assets typically falls within the range of 7 to 8. Panasonic's carousel score could improve by simply reorganizing their order, placing the highest-scoring assets first.

Furthermore, making slight adjustments can optimize the lowest-scoring images. For instance, incorporating a darker background in the accessories image and rearranging the photos in the zoom feature carousel to prevent overlap could significantly enhance the Vizit score of both images.

Final Thoughts 

Overall, Panasonic performs well with both its hero and carousel images. The brand effectively capitalizes on visual best practices, including angling the product in the hero image and emphasizing product features in the carousel through stylized, visual examples. 

However, Panasonic could boost its PDP by improving some of its carousel imagery and rearranging the order of its carousel to spotlight the highest-scoring carousels.
