An AI analysis of hundreds of top-searched fitness tracker product hero and carousel images on Amazon surfaced the most effective product hero and carousel images for online shoppers, as well as distinct visual trends.
Many of the top scoring hero images for fitness trackers showed off the watches’ large screens, screen quality, and color saturation.
Angling the product to include both the watch face and the clasp in the hero image was a popular strategy, and one that paid off for many brands. Many of the highest scoring images pictured fitness trackers angled significantly to the left side.
The U.S. gen pop audience was likely to engage with hero images that showed the many options of the fitness tracker. Imagery depicting multiple watch faces, such as a home screen or an incoming call, as well as different types of wristbands, was popular.
There were many carousel images showing the fitness trackers on models’ wrists, and the vast majority of the highest-scoring visuals had the forearms coming from the left-hand side of the frame.
Carousel imagery showing models in bed, whether asleep or awake, earned high Vizit scores. These images were typically paired with iconography and descriptions regarding sleep tracking capabilities.
Some high-scoring carousel imagery showed the fitness trackers underwater, with copy expounding on the product’s water resistance capabilities. These images were shot from the underwater perspective.
